Deploying ID Packs
Finished with building your ID pack? There are several options to deploy your ID packs:
- Distributing ID packs using Sprint's application catalog
Make your ID packs available to all of Sprint ID customers by listing them in Sprint’s application catalog. Customers can search ID packs from their Sprint ID devices and on www.sprint.com. Actual download and installation of the pack is accomplished from their Sprint ID device.
- Deploy ID packs from your own enterprise servers
Businesses and enterprises can distribute ID packs from their own servers. Enterprise customers can use the 3rd party pack distribution tool to deploy ID packs to a target group of users, view ID pack installation status and other useful reporting data. Sprint provides an online tool to business and enterprise customers to manage ID pack distribution to their employee/user base.
- Make ID packs discoverable using search keywords
Keyword search feature allows Sprint ID users to search for ID pack(s) by entering a search keyword in the Sprint ID application (All apps -> Sprint ID -> More installation options). ID packs linked with the search keyword can be hosted on pack distribution entity’s own server.
Search keywords can be set up in a variety of modes for managing pack discovery and access.
- Semi-public keyword: Public keyword but returns search results specific to the device model performing search.
- Semi-private keyword: Device model specific search results returned. Only devices belonging to an Enterprise account that has rights to the keyword provided successful search results.
- Private keyword: Applicable only to devices belonging to an Enterprise account. Enterprise administrator designates specific phone numbers/user groups that will be allowed to receive successful search results for private keyword.
Sprint provides an online tool for managing search keywords and linking the search keyword to desired pack for distribution
- Semi-public keyword: Public keyword but returns search results specific to the device model performing search.
Please complete the online customer on-boarding form (sign-in required to access) and submit to Sprint for review and approval to use pack distribution channels.
