Sprint announced its second Android device and Samsung's first Android phone - the Samsung Moment at CTIA Wireless IT and Entertainment on Oct 7, 2009. The handset sports a slide-out full QWERTY keypad, an 800 MHz processor and an AMOLED touchscreen display. Device firmware is Android version 1.5(Cupcake) with CDMA support.

Android section content on the Sprint Application Developer Program portal has been updated with Samsung Moment device specifications - http://developer.sprint.com/site/global/develop/te chnologies/android/devices/androiddevices.jsp .

Over next several days, we will be adding additional tools, utilities including Desktop USB drivers, a custom ADB tool for the Samsung Moment and developer articles.

Please use this discussion forum topic to post questions on the Samsung Moment and Android platform.

Thanks
Sprint ADP

It's a shame that the "B" key is on the wrong side of the space bar (it's a left-hand key, not a right-hand key), but it looks like a great phone. I can't wait to get one.

Has these drivers been released? I just picked up the Moment yesterday, and can't get it to even register as a USB storage device on either; Windows 7 (64bit), Vista (64bit), Linux (64bit) or Snow Leopard, and even less so get it to work with ADB. I like the Sprint plans, and the coverage (new customer), but if I can't get this working in the next week or so, I will have to go back to T-Mobile or head over to Verizon, as I need the phone for me Android development!
