Session Overview:
- Mark Murphy, a leading Android technical SME and author 3 android development books, will lead a hands on session that will take developers through creating an Android app, widget and also how to leverage the HTC Sense UI framework.
Pre-work:
- Install the Android SDK (1.5r3 or 1.6r1) installed on the notebook
- Install your IDE or other development tools (e.g., Eclipse)
- Have your emulator configured with an AVD for target 2 or 3 (i.e., Android 1.5 with or without Google Maps)
- successfully implement a Hello, World sort of app on this notebook, enough to confirm that their SDK and tools are all up, working, and capable of delivering an app to their emulator
