Thomson Reuters has long been an industry leader in providing timely, accurate information to financial professionals. Those professionals are increasingly turning to mobile devices as important interfaces for information. We are challenging developers internationally to build the most useful, high-quality, and visually appealing apps, offering $25,000 in cash, premium mobile devices and a feature on the New York Times Square jumbotron.
We are opening up access to our premium content for the challenge through Thomson Reuters Knowledge Direct, an application programming interface (API). Contestants are also encouraged to include relevant external content that will differentiate their application.
This competition's intention is to include developers in our creative process and challenge the public to think differently about how financial professionals use their mobile devices while on-the-go. As part of our commitment to the mobile space, developers maintain all intellectual property ownership for their submissions.
