View the software specifications for all production handsets sold by Sprint that include Mobile Java, browser and multimedia capabilities.

Technologies
For all supported mobile development platforms (ex. Windows Mobile, Mobile Java, Mobile Web, RIM Blackberry, etc) Sprint provides a variety of resources that includes development software , developer guides and sample applications to assist in the creation of mobile content optimized to run on Sprint handsets.

Device Activation
Now that you have created your application using the Sprint Developer Tools and tested them with the SDK emulator, its time to deploy them on the handset for real use. Certain features and APIs - multimedia, location services, File and Contact Book access, require that the application is digitally signed and downloaded to a trusted domain on the handset.

Upload Your Content
To enable testing OTA downloads to your CDMA handset, Sprint provides free access for third party developers to utilize the "Total Uploader" web server that allows the OTA download testing of most binary content including: Mobile Java, Ringers, Screensavers, Palm PRC files, Windows Mobile, Themes and RIM Blackberry content.

Application Testing
Sprint has partnered with DeviceAnywhere – the source for mobile application testing - to offer a comprehensive set of best-practice development solutions through the Sprint Virtual Developer Lab (VDL). DeviceAnywhere offers remote access to all Sprint devices - including commercial and pre-commercial handsets - available on all Sprint networks, including CDMA and iDEN. The Sprint VDL is built on DeviceAnywhere’s unique Direct-to-Device™ technology, which allows remote users to control all functions of a device as though it was in hand. With DeviceAnywhere’s innovative platform, you can test, monitor, certify, and deploy your mobile applications and content.
