Known open issuesIn January 2006, a problem was discovered with the Network Time Stamp on the iDEN BlackBerry 7520 and 7100 devices. This problem caused the network time stamp to display incorrectly as either 24 or 25 hours ahead of the actual time for users who have their time source set as "Network" in device Options->Date/Time. The problem is caused by an incorrect conversion of UTC time by the device. UTC Time, also known as Coordinated Universal Time, is kept by an Atomic Clock and broadcasted by the iDEN network. A fix has been identified and made available for BlackBerry 7520 devices (firmware release 4.1.0.241). This software can be obtained on the Sprint ADP website by going to News>>New Information>>BlackBerry 7520 Firmware Update. The fix for the BlackBerry 7100 devices has been identified and is due to be made available in May 2006.
