For static screen savers or wallpaper images that contain trademarks, slogans logos or other specific branding marks, there may be concern that these branding marks are partially covered by fixed properties on the device display on certain Vision phones.  There are several Vision devices that allow a static image or wallpaper to use the full screen of the phone display and will place the fixed properties of the display in the foreground, overlaying the background image in areas or "zones".

These Vision devices are listed below with the fixed properties that occur on their screens:

  • Sanyo 8100 (v12), 4920 (v26), 8200 (v25), 7400 (v28) - two softkeys, system bar, GPS and clock
  • Sanyo 5400 (v9), 5500 (v17), 7300 (v24) - right softkey only, system bar, GPS and clock
  • Audiovox 4050 (v18) - two softkeys, system bar, GPS and clock
  • Audiovox 8920 (v27) - digital clock centered along bottom is 40 pixels floating over background
  • Treo 650 (v32) - 40 rows of white space along the top, 90 pixel rows of white space along the bottom.
  • Sanyo 9000 (v48), 5600 (v34) - 32 pixel rows of solid bar across the bottom.

These fixed properties are placed on various places or overlay zones on the screen are listed as follows:

  • Softkey labels on the bottom of the screen - some devices have only the right softkey label.
  • System bar icons on the top of the screen - signal strength, battery indicator, etc
  • GPS indicator icon near upper left corner - looks like a cross-hairs symbol
  • Digital clock near upper left corner - does not appear on all devices
